EXCLUSIVE EVENT: Supper with Nightingales

Updated: Jan 30

Dining with Nightingales is returning on one exclusive occasion at Green Farm.

INTRODUCTION

Enjoying and experiencing nature is at the heart of everything at Green Farm. Whether visiting for an hour’s spa treatment, a weekend retreat or simply popping in to say hello, the hope is that you will be inspired by how Green Farm respects, enhances and embraces its incredible natural environment.

But for us, there is one natural spectacular that is truly magical to witness. Every Spring, a few thousand nightingales fly to the UK from Africa and take up temporary residence at a handful of locations in the south of England, and we at Green Farm are incredibly lucky that our surrounding woodlands offer the ideal conditions for these secretive creatures to hide away.

So whilst other wildlife settles down for the night, this little brown bird’s trills and whistles ring out. Its song is so impressive in both tone and volume that it can be heard nightly for around six weeks from mid-April through to the end of May.

A UNIQUE WOODLAND FOOD EXPERIENCE

So for one exclusive evening, we invite you to join us for an intimate and unique outdoor food and nature experience, where you will feel the warmth of the campfire over drinks, enjoy a delicious two-course Green Farm produce dinner in our woodlands, before heading out with our guides to listen to the song of these remarkable birds.

The menu will be rustic yet refined campfire supper and showcase a range of Green's Farm incredible meat and garden produce, taking influence from the natural surroundings.

Dates: Saturday 9 May 2026

Time: 6.30pm until late (will we finish around midnight)

Included: Welcome Drink, Two-Course Dinner, Nightingales Tour

Price: £80.00 per person (all proceeds go to the Pearce Coggan Foundation and their nature conservation activities)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please note this is a fully outdoor event, so we ask you to wear warm and appropriate clothing/shoes. This is not only for the weather and time of year, but we will be walking in the forest in the dark, across potentially muddy and uneven ground; we will honour the wildlife by being in silence and without torches. We ask that all attendees are of reasonable fitness, health and mobility.

All guests will be seated together around the campfire on bench seats for dinner. This is not a table seated event.

If a little wet, we will still go into the woods to listen to the Nightingales, although the dinner location may change. Please bring a raincoat with you, umbrellas will not be suitable for walking in the forest. If the weather is too bad for us to go out we will reschedule for another date as soon as we can. Blankets will be available for you to use whilst seated and around the campfire.

If you have any food allergies or dietary intolerances please notify us when you book.

A welcome drink is included within the ticket price. Alcohol will also be available to purchase throughout the evening from a small but carefully curated drinks and wine list.

Due to the nature of this event, all attendees must be over 18 years of age.

All other details will be provided when your reservation is confirmed.

This sounds like such a magical and thoughtfully curated experience! The idea of enjoying a rustic campfire dinner while listening to the enchanting songs of nightingales in their natural habitat is truly unique. It’s wonderful to see how Green Farm blends nature, food, and conservation into one memorable evening. Events like this, much like initiatives seen in SIF, highlight the importance of connecting people with nature in meaningful ways. Truly an unforgettable experience for anyone who appreciates wildlife and serene outdoor settings!

What a beautifully curated experience—this sounds like something truly special. The way Green Farm blends nature, conservation, and community into one immersive evening is genuinely inspiring. The idea of dining under the open sky, warmed by a campfire, and then quietly stepping into the woodland to listen to the nightingales feels both grounding and magical. It’s also wonderful to see that the proceeds support conservation efforts, adding even more meaning to the event. Experiences like this remind us how important it is to preserve and respect our natural surroundings—something that resonates across industries, even in unexpected ways. Just as sustainability and thoughtful design matter in events like this, they’re equally important in fields like infrastructure, where responsible practices by manhole…
