A Relationship Retreat for Couples

8 to 10 October

Green Farm's tranquil setting offers the perfect location to relax, connect, and rejuvenate together as a couple. During this retreat, you will care for your body through yoga, cultivate awareness in meditation, and glean insight through the psychotherapeutic lens. Take time to play, discover, and explore the light and dark of your loving partnership. You will develop skills in meditation, embodied listening, authentic communication, and conflict resolution. This unique retreat aims to give you simple and effective tools that enable you to be with what arises between you, free of judgment. Ok, maybe not free of it, but at least more aware of your critical voice. Alex and Gabriel aim to support each couple in finding their way to more love, empathy, and fulfilment.


All yoga and movement practiced during this retreat are accessible for beginners, suitable for all ages and levels of fitness, and adaptable to injuries/disabilities. You are welcome to arrange a phone meeting with Alex before the retreat if you have any concerns, questions, or requirements.



What you will get from the workshop:


  • A deeper relationship with your body and being through yoga.

  • Meditation skills you can use in daily life to cultivate awareness, compassion, and presence.

  • Deeper understanding of why you feel the way you do in relation to others.

  • Increased insight into how you and your partner fit together emotionally.

  • Greater robustness as a couple with an increased capacity to repair when raw wounds have been touched.

  • Time to relax, regenerate, and enjoy each other in nature, with delicious nutritious food, spa treatments.



What’s added:


  • 11 Hours of Workshop time with Alex and Gabriel (Includes: yoga, movement medicine, partner massage, games, relational exercises, talks, and discussion.)

  • One 50-minute couple’s talking therapy session with Gabriel (optional). The session provides an opportunity to reflect together on your relationship and experiences from the workshop. It is also an opportunity to ask questions about therapy if this is something you are interested in perusing outside of the workshop. Each couple will be allocated a therapy slot on booking and you can opt-in or out.

  • One 45-minute ESPA treatment, further ESPA Spa treatments available for an extra cost

About the Practitioners

Alex Hanly

Alex Hanly offers three fields of expertise: she is a senior accredited yoga teacher, a theatre practitioner, and a graduate of the School of Movement Medicine. She has years of experience working in the field of wellness and self-development. Alex teaches in her individual modalities, as well as a synthesis of her expertise. Alex runs a private practice in west London. She also holds group classes, workshops, and retreats in Kent, London, and online. Ongoing education and personal enquiry inform Alex’s capacity to teach with gentleness and precision, enabling a transformative experience for her students and clients. She facilitates a unique, evolving practice founded on compassion and curiosity. 

Alex presents regular workshops at Green Farm.


Gabriel Facchini

Gabriel Facchini is a psychodynamic therapist and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. He runs a private practice, in-person in Canterbury, and online or via phone. He recognises that unconscious processes often sabotage our best intentions and undermine our conscious goals and principles. By listening to what is going on beneath the surface, and through the experience of being with you, he aims to gently bring to light what gets in the way of you reaching your full potential.

His clinical experience started at London’s longest-serving counseling provider- Highgate Counselling Centre. He has taught counseling at The City Literary Institute, Holborn, and facilitated personal development groups for certificate and diploma students. Alongside running a private practice, Gabriel trains Foreign and Commonwealth Office staff to assist British Nationals around the world in crisis situations.

Spending time at Green Farm is a relaxing and rejuvenating experience in its own right. The natural environment, the gentle farm animals, the outdoor spaces and hot tubs combine to de-stress you - even before you've taken any treatments! Your visit will always be personal and intimate.

At Green Farm we have a very simple philosophy around eating healthily - cook fresh, home-produce when possible, use minimum processed foods, served as nature intended and cater to whatever dietary requirements you may have, whether you are here for a retreat, Spa Day or Stay. We like to cook 'in season' when we can with as much as possible coming from the Green Farm Community Wildlife Vegetable Garden and, of course, from our own farm animals. We are guided by our in-house naturopath, Alice Yeates, and we work with suppliers who share the same values as us.
