Weekend Retreats are Green Farm’s signature wellness experience and are hosted in the lovingly restored 15th-century Farmhouse by owners Maryann and Martin on select weekends throughout the year. Focusing on either Yoga, Pilates, Seasonal Nature or Couples all the retreats are carefully curated to leave you feeling refreshed, nourished and ready for a new week ahead.  

 

Luxury Farmhouse Accommodation 

Retreat accommodation is in The Farmhouse, the private country home of MaryAnn, Martin and their dogs. It is a beautiful Grade-II listed, 7-bedroom house that has been carefully and lovingly restored to the highest standard. Originally a Kentish Hall House, built 600 years ago, the house is filled with character, with beautiful beams and many original features, each room is individual and inviting, with perfect places to read a book or simply unwind. 

 

Bedrooms & Bathrooms 

Every bedroom in The Farmhouse is completely unique and all rooms come with luxurious super-king size beds, which can also be two twins, Egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy pillows, soft white dressing gowns and tea/coffee facilities. All rooms have their own private bathroom however not all are en-suite due to the heritage layout of the house. 

 

Retreat Meals

As a working-farm and a wellness destination, food is an important part of the whole Green Farm experience. It also means we have and adhere to a very simple philosophy around healthy eating – eat fresh, homemade and home-grown produce as much as possible, served as nature intended. This also means cooking in-season, using predominantly produce from our Kitchen Garden, meat from our own ethically-raised farm animals, and sourcing anything else we don’t grow ourselves from other local farms and producers. 

 

All meals are included in a Weekend Retreat at Green Farm using the freshest farm ingredients, recognising that you are coming for a retreat. Menus change with the seasons, taking into consideration any guest dietary requirements and what is growing in the garden. After a simple breakfast including home-made bread and farm eggs, lunch is a relaxed mealtime consisting of two light courses, which is mainly vegetable based and designed to work well with the day’s activities and guest Spa treatments. At dinner time guests will enjoy a freshly prepared, homemade two-course dinner (main and pudding) hosted by Green Farm founders and owners Martin and Maryann in The Farmhouse’s beautiful Dining Room. 

 

Our retreat chef, Ian, brings a wealth of expertise and passion for fresh, wholesome food, with a philosophy very similar to our own. Chef Ian has worked in multiple Michelin-starred kitchens and spent the past seven years training some of the country’s most talented up-and-coming chefs at Cordon Bleu.

 

We are happy to cater to vegan and other dietary. We are guided by Alice Yeates our in house nutritionalist therapist to ensure our meals naturally healthy, well-balanced. We kindly ask that you advise us of any dietary requirements or food allergies at the time of booking.

SPA & YOGA

Our monthly Spa & Yoga Retreats focuses on pure relaxation and rejuvenation, with all the Yoga being designed to add to your experience of a restful yet energising weekend. Classes are suitable for everyone, whether you are a complete beginners or regular practitioner, adaptations and modifications are always offered for every level. Classes cover pranayama techniques (breathing) and meditation as well as the physical yoga asanas. Generally, morning classes are more energising with a slower restorative practice in the afternoons. NIGHTINGALES SPA & YOGA 

For a short but very special time of year, our surrounding woodlands are graced with the amazing Nightingale - one of very few places in the UK. In addition to our traditional Spa & Yoga Retreat, you will enjoy a magical evening in our ancient woodlands with a campfire supper and late night walk to hear this secretive bird's incredible song.
