Weekend Retreats are Green Farm’s signature wellness experience and are hosted in the lovingly restored 15th-century Farmhouse by owners Maryann and Martin on select weekends throughout the year. Focusing on either Yoga, Pilates, Seasonal Nature or Couples all the retreats are carefully curated to leave you feeling refreshed, nourished and ready for a new week ahead.  

 

Luxury Farmhouse Accommodation 

Retreat accommodation is in The Farmhouse, the private country home of MaryAnn, Martin and their dogs. It is a beautiful Grade-II listed, 7-bedroom house that has been carefully and lovingly restored to the highest standard. Originally a Kentish Hall House, built 600 years ago, the house is filled with character, with beautiful beams and many original features, each room is individual and inviting, with perfect places to read a book or simply unwind. 

 

Bedrooms & Bathrooms 

Every bedroom in The Farmhouse is completely unique and all rooms come with luxurious super-king size beds, which can also be two twins, Egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy pillows, soft white dressing gowns and tea/coffee facilities. All rooms have their own private bathroom however not all are en-suite due to the heritage layout of the house. 

 

Retreat Meals

As a working-farm and a wellness destination, food is an important part of the whole Green Farm experience. It also means we have and adhere to a very simple philosophy around healthy eating – eat fresh, homemade and home-grown produce as much as possible, served as nature intended. This also means cooking in-season, using predominantly produce from our Kitchen Garden, meat from our own ethically-raised farm animals, and sourcing anything else we don’t grow ourselves from other local farms and producers. 

 

All meals are included in a Weekend Retreat at Green Farm using the freshest farm ingredients, recognising that you are coming for a retreat. Menus change with the seasons, taking into consideration any guest dietary requirements and what is growing in the garden. After a simple breakfast including home-made bread and farm eggs, lunch is a relaxed mealtime consisting of two light courses, which is mainly vegetable based and designed to work well with the day’s activities and guest Spa treatments. At dinner time guests will enjoy a freshly prepared, homemade two-course dinner (main and pudding) hosted by Green Farm founders and owners Martin and Maryann in The Farmhouse’s beautiful Dining Room. 

 

Every Green Farm menu and dish is carefully created by Green Farm working closely with Nutritional Consultant, Alice Yeates to design naturally healthy, well-balanced recipes. We kindly ask that you advise us of any dietary requirements or food allergies at the time of booking.

SPA & YOGA

Our Spa & Yoga Retreat focuses on pure relaxation and rejuvenation, with all the Yoga being designed to add to your experience of a restful yet energising weekend. Classes are suitable for everyone, whether you are a complete beginners or regular practitioner, adaptations and modifications are always offered for every level. Classes cover pranayama techniques (breathing) and meditation as well as the physical yoga asanas. Generally, morning classes are more energising with a slower restorative practice in the afternoons. NIGHTINGALES SPA & YOGA 

For a short but very special time of year, our surrounding woodlands are graced with the amazing Nightingale - one of very few places in the UK. In addition to our traditional Spa & Yoga Retreat, you will enjoy a magical evening in our ancient woodlands with a campfire supper and late night walk to hear this secretive bird's incredible song.

PILATES

Experience the joy and power of movement at our exclusive Pilates Retreat with experienced teacher and practitioner Tali Swort. 

Designed to leave you feeling energised and empowered, Tali  teaches traditional mat based Pilates, using a large variety of small equipment: soft balls, magic rings, dyno-bands, Pilates poles, wobble boards and more.

 

This retreat is suitable for all levels, with a focus on spine health and mobility. During each session there will be a few options for modifications, taking into consideration different levels of ability and experience.

YOGA WITH ALEX HANLY

Immerse yourself in a weekend of yoga practice in the beautiful, tranquil surroundings of Green Farm.

Engage in the study of and take a deeper dive into the practice of yoga. Learn more about yourself, yoga asana, meditation and practical ways to apply yogic teachings to your life.

Senior Accredited Yoga Teacher Alex Hanly is leading this specialist yoga retreat at Green Farm Kent on the weekend of 9th to 11th June.

 

During this weekend you will get to know your body more intimately through both traditional yoga postures and through fascial release, free movement and play. You will learn yogic meditation practices and how to brings those practices and ways of being and seeing the world into your relationships through the structures offered by non-violent communication. 

 

Through a series of 6 one and a half hour sessions led by Alex you will experience:

  • Meditation / Awareness Cultivation

  • Study of the tradition

  • How to Be With Intense Emotions

RETREAT TOGETHER

Retreat Together is a unique couples focused weekend in the beautiful Kent countryside, designed for you to escape, relax and spend quality time together as a couple. During this Retreat, you will care for your body through yoga, meditation and nutritious food; glean insight on your relationship through a private therapeutic lens; enjoy time to connect more deeply through special moments and workshops together.

Working with our Retreat practitioners, Alex and Gabriel, you will not only feel replenished and relaxed from your stay, but more deeply connected as a couple, and leave with some effective tools to help you on your relationship journey.  

All yoga and movement practiced during this retreat are accessible for beginners, suitable for all ages and levels of fitness, and adaptable to injuries/disabilities. You are welcome to arrange a phone meeting with Alex before the retreat if you have any concerns, questions, or requirements

INCLUDED

11 x hours of workshop time with Alex and Gabriel which includes: yoga, movement, partner massage, games, relational exercises, talks, and discussion

1 x 50-minute couple’s talking session with Gabriel (optional) - the session provides an opportunity to reflect together on your relationship and experiences from the workshop. It is also an opportunity to ask questions about therapy, if this is something you are interested in pursuing outside of the workshop. Each couple will be allocated a therapy slot on booking and you can opt-in or out.
